COVID-19 Vaccination Programme
The COVID-19 vaccine is here, and the HSE has already started giving the vaccine to people in the highest priority groups – frontline healthcare workers, and older people living in long-term care facilities.
The COVID-19 vaccine will offer you protection from COVID-19, and it should also protect you from the serious complications of this virus.
The Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee, has reassured that the vaccine will be available for everyone regardless of their immigration status.
“I strongly urge anyone in this country, regardless of their current status, to come forward to receive a vaccine when it is made available to them. I can give a commitment here today no information gathered as part of that process will be passed to the immigration authorities.” – Min for Justice (December 2020)
