First-Time Irish Immigration Registration

By 13 January 2025No Comments

Starting from Jan 13, 2025, ALL first-time registrations nationwide for Irish immigration residence permissions will be carried out by Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) and not by local garda stations as was previously the case for those outside Dublin.

That means everyone registering for the first time must now use the new online portal to arrange an appointment and then attend at Burgh Quay to complete registration in person. To book an appointment, create or log in to the new online portal for first-time registration.

If you have a confirmed appointment at a Garda station until 31st January 2025, attend the scheduled appointment. An Garda Síochána will process first-time registrations at Garda stations until 31st January 2025.

For renewals of IRP cards continue to use the ISD website
