Application for re-entry visas for minors (under 16)

  • Re-entry visas for children are currently suspended until further notice, please read  information.
  • Before making travel plans, parents/guardians should check with airlines to confirm if minors can travel without a re-entry visa.
  • In urgent, emergency, or exceptional situations, a re-entry visa may be granted on a case-by-case basis.
  • Applicants should:
    • Create or log into their Customer Service account, https://portal.irishimmigration.ie/en/
    • Submit a query with relevant details and documents (proof of flights, reasons for urgent travel).
    • Categorize the query correctly to reach the right team.
  • There is no guarantee that a re-entry visa will be granted.
  • Children must travel with a parent or legal guardian who holds valid residency permission in Ireland.
