Research Methodology Explained
“Do you agree or disagree that Ireland should welcome people who move here to make a better life for themselves or their families?”
Irish companies should continue to be able to recruit people from outside the EU to work in sectors where we can’t fill skills or labour shortages.
People from outside the EU, recruited to work in Ireland through the work permit system…should be allowed to bring their immediate family, spouse and or children when they come to work here.
People from outside the EU, recruited to work in Ireland through the work permit system…should have freedom to change to any job after 2 years.
Being undocumented means living in a country without all the necessary legal permissions. The vast majority of undocumented people in Ireland (including many with children) have been living and working here for a long time supporting themselves. They do not receive any state welfare supports or accommodation. What do you think Government policy should be towards these migrant workers?
Most people from outside the EU working, studying and residing in Ireland are required to pay a registration fee to obtain a new ID card every 12 months. Similar ID cards cost €55 (Driving Licence) and 75 (Passport) What do you think is a fair and reasonable amount for a person to pay to register and receive such a card?
