In 2015, MRCI worked with SIPTU and the Carers’ Association on a project funded by the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission to develop employment guidelines for the home care sector, which can be downloaded in full here: Employment Guidelines in the Home Care Sector: The Workers’ Perspective.
This innovative project was a collaboration between home care workers and other key stakeholders to improve terms and conditions for workers in this burgeoning unregulated sector. The project is funded through the European Social Fund.
