Important Information for Non-EEA Nationals with Expired IRP Cards
The Minister for Justice has issued a Travel Confirmation Notice for non-EEA nationals who hold an Irish Residence Permit (IRP) card that has recently expired, but whose renewal application has been submitted to ISD in advance of the card’s expiry date.
Key Information:
- Non-EEA nationals who required a renewal of their IRP card may travel from 2nd December 2024 to 31st January 2025 using your expired IRP card, provided your renewal application was submitted to ISD before your card’s expiry date.
What You Need to Know:
- This notice only applies from 2nd December 2024 to 31st January 2025.
- You should print this notice – click here and present it along with your expired IRP card
- Proof of your renewal application (an email confirmation with your application date) to immigration authorities and airlines if requested.
